Peachay Jeans Review - Jeans For Small Waists & Big Hips

If you can never find a good pair of jeans because they always gape at the waist and are too tight in the thighs, I’m so excited you’ve found this blog post, because today I’m reviewing a jeans brand called Peachay that cater solely to women with this fit issue.

As a Stylist, I shop multiple days a week for jeans. My clients often hate jeans shopping because finding the right pair of jeans is kind of like finding a needle in a haystack. Now, I love hunting for clothing and finding fit solutions for my clients. There’s some jeans brands I know I can rely upon for petites, for tall clients, for clients with straight hips and no bum, but I’m often on the hunt for jeans that fit wide hips and a small waist, that don’t need a waist alteration. I feel like the second I find a pair, they sell out everywhere or the brand stops making them. You’d think for all the jeans out there, that there would be more for us bigger booty women!

Introducing Peachay Jeans

A few months ago, I was working on a tv show in the wardrobe department and I saw Peachay’s jeans hanging about back stage and I was reminded of this brand. I’ve got clients who RAVE about Peachay, but I’d never tried them myself, so I reached out to the team to see if I could give them a go and provide an honest review. I must say, even though my clients have had huge success with these jeans, I was skeptical. I thought they might make great jeans for other pear shapes, but what if they’re not for me? I go to the tailor so much with waist adjustment orders, I know exactly what she’s going to charge me before I buy my pants. That’s how accustomed I’ve become to not being able to find jeans for myself, off-the-rack, that I love.

But then, of course, these jeans arrived and BOOM. I literally scoffed.

They zipped up easily and fit like a dream. It’s funny, I know this is what they say they fix, but I was still shocked they worked so well on me. I’ve got the Aviva Jean on in Indigo in my video. And you can see when I compare them to another brand jean that haven’t been altered at the waist, what an amazing invention Peachay’s jeans are. Not only are they a flattering cut, a lovely deep blue and the PERFECT length, they are so comfortable. One thing that brands don’t always get right is ensuring that their jeans are long enough in the body, to cater for a bigger booty, wider hip and sometimes a longer torso. Peachay seem to have nailed the zip length, the seat seam length, the pocket placement and jean width so there’s no wedgies (front or back) and you get a sculpted looking butt!

Peachay Jeans Sizing

What I really appreciate about this brand is their Find My Fit Quiz is built for people who do and don’t know their measurements. I’m a big fan of using body measurements, but I tried both methods and got the same recommended fit so I felt confident getting the ‘Daisy’ fit. If you don’t know your measurements you’ll be asked what size clothing fits your waist best, then your hips, in Australian 100% cotton (denim). Then you’ll pop your email in and Peachay will send you their recommended fit.

If you know your measurements, you’ll be taken straight to this sizing chart. I fit the ‘Daisy’ fit and based on the measurements I see here, it looks like Peachay has a generous size range, ranging from around an Australian size 4-6 waist, up to size 22 booty.

Overall verdict:

I loved these jeans and would absolutely buy more of them. They’ve washed well, maintained their colour, shape and fit. They’re priced well for a small business and are at a similar price range to other jeans brands like Nudie, Good American and Nobody Denim. I hope one day to see this brand open stores or get stocked in a major retailer because if people could try them on in-store, they’d buy them in a heartbeat! In the meantime, I’ll be telling all my pear-shaped clients about Peachay!
